Yes this is a real Mercedes-Benz 540K. Not a kit or reproduction! It is a spectacular customization of an original Mercedes 540K Cabriolet. All steel with a V-10 Viper engine and drive train. It was Built by one of the nation's top customizers, John Slaughter, who is a nationally award winning builder of custom cars since the 1950's.
It has a tube frame with Corvette suspension front and rear and power rack steering with Aldan Coil Overs. It has a Dana 44 rear-end, Viper gas tank, Catalytic converter and dual Flowmaster exhaust. It has dual fans, custom hand-built radiator, transmission cooler, air condenser and power steering along with cruise control. It rides on 20" wheels in front and 22" wheels in rear. The grille is hand built from stainless and the shell chopped 7 inches. The front fenders chopped 7" and the rear fenders have been modified. The rear body modified for the top to fold completely down into the body.
It has a hand-built dashboard with Viper switches and gauges along with Viper steering column and wheel. It has a heater, A/C, power windows and trunk lift. It has Saab seats.
Audio System: Pioneer AVIC Z120 BT Media Console with Bluetooth, navigation and Lowjack. Satellite radio. Focal 6.5" Titanium-driven speakers. 4-channel, 300 watt amplifier. Clifford 2-way alarm. Kenwood rear-view backup camera.
