This 1963 Porsche 356 has been freshly restored and is a genuine Cabriolet in its original color of
Slate Grey and Natural Cuoro and was completed in 2011. The restoration was comprehensive and included paint, bodywork, chrome, rubber, interior, top, engine rebuild, brakes and wiring. Additionally, the car has just had a service to ensure that is in fine working condition.
The car makes an extremely strong cosmetic impression. The paint and bodywork are superb, high quality paint over straight panels. The gaps are perfect across the board. The chrome is excellent across the board, and the lights are in excellent shape. The wheels and tires are also excellent, as are the badges.
The interior was very nicely done, with stunning leather and correct square weave carpets. The dashboard and instruments received high quality cosmetic restoration. The top was also beautifully redone with correct parts. The steering wheel is in perfect condition, with correct horn button. New correct rubber floor mats were also installed,
The engine compartment was correctly restored and is very clean and nicely detailed. The numerous decals have been correctly reproduced, while the trunk was also restored and is quite tidy, with correct leather spare tire retaining strap. The undercarriage is solid and free of corrosion .
The car runs and drives wonderfully. Engine was built by Porsche “Texas Guru” Bill Jones. Every part in it is top of the line and makes this cabrio, perform like no other. The engine is well tuned, and the gearbox has very good synchros and is a pleasure to use. The chassis and suspension are excellent, with just the right blend of solidity, tightness and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a nicely restored genuine Cabriolet in its original color. It runs and drives very well and is nice enough to casually show or it would make an excellent touring car or weekend driver. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
