1966 Fiat 600

This very cute and fun 1966 Fiat 600 Abarth Berlina Corsa Replica is a tribute to the car that terrorized the Mini Coopers on racetracks around the world in the 1960's. It is finished in the classic Gulf colors to a driver level standard and also fitted with a Webasto type cloth sliding sunroof. This car was built incorporating the classic Berlina Corsa racing modifications that include Abarth grille and badges, the special front radiator 850 TC fiberglass extension assembly and cover, fender flares and deck lid props. These changes give this little Fiat 600 a look that just says fun and fast. The car's body is solid with floor rust repair panels that have been welded in place on the floor pans and no further indication of rust. The 13x6 inch Italian wheels are fitted with very good tires that give an aggressive stance and plenty of rubber to corner on.

Forward propulsion is provided by a built 903 Fiat motor that has been reverse rotated and mated to a 600D gearbox. The car's stopping power is excellent since it is now provided with front 850 disc brakes and drums in the rear. The motor starts easily and runs smoothly even at idle, and is very strong with the down-draft Weber carburetor. This one is a blast to drive with plenty of power and all the looks and feel of the Abarth. It is very hard to find these late 600D bodied cars in good condition with great parts on them. This one would make a great autocross car or fun town driver. It screams and and is ready for fun.
