This 1977 factory Porsche 930 Turbo coupe was built new without a sunroof and features a complete restoration on its original body. Performed by Heath Elmer Restorations, the car is featured on his website.

Under the car's hood, the 3.4 liter turbocharged engine was built by Bob Holcomb of Motorsport Design and features a 74.4mm stroke by a 98mm bore with Ruf Mahle forged pistons, 964 cams, B&B intercooler, stainless exhausts, Tial Wastegate, 935 Ni-resist stainless steel head gaskets, flowed and ported cylinder heads, To-4S Garrett turbocharger, Electronic boost control, EFI Technologies programable fuel injection that produces over 500 horsepower to the rear wheels.

The car's suspension is comprised of RSR struts and Bilstein shocks as well as Motorsport Design spring plates and upper front camber plates, while the drivetrain is further enhanced by a Kennedy Engineered Products Lightened clutch/flywheel. Inside, a Getty Design dashboard is clean and functional while similar attention was given to the carbon fiber GT-2 front and rear spoilers.

The car's exterior is finished in Ferrari Fly Yellow with 993 Aero side mirrors. Other custom features include a custom-geared 930 4-speed with Porsche limited slip, a custom 930-specific fuel cell, AIM data logging electronic dash, full Delrin suspension bushings front and rear, Lexan rear and side windows, 930 fuel pumps with accumulator, B&B front oil cooler, GT-2 front spoiler, vinyl film protection for the front paint, a complete fire protection system, a custom Fabcar shifter with custom linkage and Pirelli tires with custom 18-inch rims.

Following completion, the car debuted at the track at Road America in 2005 at the hands of the Chris Hines. He entered it in SVRA's Group 10 exhibition class and to his surprise took the win running on street tires with times as low as two minutes, twenty-one seconds. To date, the same high-performance street rubber remains on the car. Following this event, the second outing was at Fontana where one of the driveaxles came loose during a qualifying session; the car had to start at the back for the race, yet it passed 64 cars to win with a best time of just over 1 minute, 42.605 seconds. On Fontana's long straightaway, the car reached speeds in excess of 165 miles per hour. We also raced it at PIR a couple of times and recorded a lap time best at 1min02.003. Other events the car competed in include those held at tracks including Portland International Raceway as well as California's Willow Springs, where it turned a 1:27.690 lap and took its first win in a VARA event!

Completely sorted with its only remaining need that of a good racing home, this amazing car makes right at 500 brake horsepower yet drives as predictably as when it was built and remains a competitive contender in the GT2 class nearly anywhere that it can arrive with a hot-shoe driver behind the wheel.
