This 1929 Packard 640 Coupe has been owned by the current vendor for 51 years. Purchased originally as a car he could drive to work, it was always garaged and has always been in running condition.
After an off-the-frame restoration in 1994, the Packard was shown for a year, winning or placing in every show in which it was entered, including:

The Greater Valley Concours d’ Elegance, Fresno CA – 2nd Place.
Silverado Concours d’ Elegance, Napa CA – 1st Place.
Packard Club of America, 29th Annual Meet, Reno NV – 1st Place.
North Lake Tahoe Antique and Collector Car Show, Tahoe City CA – Best in Show and People’s Choice.
Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance, Pebble Beach CA – 2nd Place.

Following a year of showing this car, it was loaned for nearly three years to the National Automobile Museum in Reno NV.

This car is one of eight 1929 Model 640 Packards listed in the latest directories of The Packard Club and the Classic Car Club of America. The mileage on the odometer is believed to be original. Since the car was restored, it has been driven less than 500 miles. The original tool kit is under the front seat. The current colors are, Antwerp Blue, Trinidad Blue and Black. Robert Turnquist in Hibernia NJ mixed the paint. Mr. Turnquist owns the original Packard color formulas.
