This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Z16 is 1 of just 201 produced and 1 of approximately 68 that still exist today. The Z16 had many unique features only available on this special model and were only available in Red, Black and Yellow.
The Z16's is of the most sought after collectable Chevelles every produced, they seldom come up for sale and are very rarely available to the public.
This Z16 here is listed in the Z16 Registry as the 3rd produced car including the Prototype, so technically it's the 2nd production example. It is also the first red on red Z16 made and 1 of only 2 produced during the month of February.
The car was sold new at Rydell Chevrolet in Grand Forks, ND and has never left the state of Minnesota since new. It has had 5 owners all of whom can be accounted for and can verify the car.
The car retains its original trim tag that has never been off the car and all of its unique Z16-only features. The car retains all of its original sheet metal except for the rear quarter panels which were cut for larger tires early on in the cars life. This is an extremely solid, well kept car that is more of a survivor than a restored car. The car has no stories and its life can be accounted for from Day One.
