This magazine cover car "Piss'd-off-Pete", is the newest Blastolene vehicle by automotive artist Randy Grubb, creator of the Jay Leno "Tank car". "Piss'd off Pete", a 1960 Peterbilt model 351 semi truck, has been chopped and reskinned with new aluminum. The show quality custom chassis features a 2 stroke 12v71 Detriot Diesel, 852 cu. in. with two polished 671 superchargers making 1200 ft lbs of torque and 475 hp. An Allison 4- speed automatic makes this approx. 7800 lb Semi Rod easy to drive!. A nickel plated Rockwell semi truck rear end that has been narrowed, rides on a custom set of quarter elliptical springs and triangulated 4 bar that drive the big super single Alcoas with 445/50-22.5" Michelin tires . Up front the narrowed semi truck dropped axle also has been completely nickel plated. Custom 12 spoke spindle mounts with disc brakes ride on 700-20" rubber. The spartan aluminum interior is punctuated by hand tooled tan leather bomber seats and matching saddle bags on doors . Two sets of polished stainless steel exhaust were created for this truck, the side pipes with stacks as shown and a set of Zoomies (both are loud) easily change up the look.Over 3000 man hours and $100,000 in materials where invested to create this totally unique sculpture that you can really drive!. Shown completed for the first time at the 2009 SEMA Show, "Piss'd-off-Pete" won a Mothers Top Ten Shine award, redefining hot rodding.
