“Dreams of Steele” Charity Preview Gala Benefits The Emily Center

Russo and Steele’s Scottsdale 2009 Event: Wednesday through Sunday, January 14 -18, 2009 under the big top tent at Mayo Blvd and Scottsdale Road, just south of the 101. Gates open at 10 a.m. Wednesday thru Sunday. The auction starts at noon Thursday thru Sunday. Only registered bidders, consignors and their guests are permitted in the auction tent, the general public is welcome to view the cars in the staging area. Russo and Steele Collector Automobile proudly announces its continued support to the Emily Center, located in the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The Emily Center will be the recipient of the car auction’s January 2009 charity gala. The ninth annual Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auction will be staged in north Scottsdale, leading with the charity gala on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 and followed by four exciting days of celebrity memorabilia and collector car auctions Thursday thru Sunday.

“Giving back to the community thru charitable giving has been a long tradition for us here at Russo and Steele,” said Drew Alcazar, owner, along with his wife Josephine, of Russo and Steele Collector Automobiles. “This year our opening night gala’s theme is "Dreams of Steele", complete with live entertainment provided by The Hamptons, hosted bar and food stations,” said Alcazar.

This is the hottest gala in town and has been SOLD OUT each year, as only 650 exclusive seats are available: Open to Corporate Sponsors, Registered Bidders and invited Guests only. Early Bidder Registration and RSVP for the event will ensure your invitation to this prestigious event. Tickets are $175 or $135 for each bidder ticket; table sponsorships are also available.

The Emily Center is a pediatric health library where parents can get answers to questions and learn what they need to know to fully participate in their child's health care. Staffed by nurses, it is a free resource open to the public that provides everything from parenting tips to facts about specific diseases. The Emily Center staff can provide custom research to meet the special needs of each family.

The Emily Center is located in the "heart" of the Phoenix Children's Hospital, where children, teens, and their families can spend their time. The Emily Center offers more than 4,000 books, 2,000 videotapes, thousands of articles (many in both English and Spanish) on nearly every subject you can imagine related to childhood health, injury and illness. There is also free on-line access to over 26 leading medical journals.
