The Vega was designed by French industrialist Jean Daninos and after its initial debut in Paris, it earned a reputation of "being in a class of its own". Combining speed, outstanding luxury and excellent features, the Facel Vega had the perfect description and advertising slogan, “For the Few Who Own the Finest”. A few of the people that owned these automobiles was Ava Gardner, Ringo Starr, Joan Fontaine, Tony Curtis, Stirling Moss, and Albert Camus. The Facel Vega was more than an automobile it was a symbol of luxury lifestyle.

Built in September 1960, this 1960 Facel Vega HK500 #0763 was painted in Tudor grey with red leather interior; included a 383 cu. Engine, manual 4 speed. The HK500 was one of the first cars, and the first French car, to feature standard four-wheel disc (Dunlop) brakes. Ordered directly from the factory, no agent was involved, it was delivered new in France. Chassis number, HK1 BX6, was one of only 540 Vegas ever built; guaranteeing that this spectacular, largely original automobile always remains for the select “few who own the finest.”
