Authenticated "Dukes of Hazzard" Movie Cars Offered at Russo and Steele’s Scottsdale Auction

Scottsdale, AZ. (Jan 4, 2010) -- Specializing in European sports cars, American muscle cars, hot rods and customs Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions, one of the nation’s premier collector car auctions, will be celebrating its tenth anniversary this January 20-24, 2010. Offering over 600 of the finest automobiles in Scottsdale over a five day span.

The 1969 Dodge Charger "General Lee" is an authentic movie stunt car that was bought directly from Warner Brothers Studios. The car can be used for promotional purposes or events. It has all the stunt items such as a roll cage and reinforced frame, fuel cell, right and left line locks, a second brake and a push bar. Additionally, it has been signed by John Schneider (Bo Duke) and Catherine Bach (Daisy) and comes with a 1/18 die-cast model signed by the original cast.Documentation include several color pictures of this car on the movie set, Warner Brothers issued certificate for the car containing its WB logo and serial number for "General Lee," the registration card and DMV renewal from the studio. The provenance and original binder comes with the car. Across the hood you still have marks where the actors slid across and the top of the door shows wear from jumping in through the windows.

The 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible is an authentic "Boss Hogg" movie car from the Warner Brothers Studios. This is the one and only surviving car left from the film. There were two cars, one for stunt and this car (known as the "Hero" car), meaning it was the main car driven by the stars Burt Reynolds and Johnny Knoxville. Unfortunately, the stunt car was smashed during filming.

The "Boss Hogg" has all power options you expect from a Cadillac as well as the big Cadillac 500ci engine. Extras include gun door handles, horns on the front and a special custom parade boot that was made for the film. It remains exactly as used right off the movie set and comes with paperwork that that shows Warner Brothers' ownership.

The tenth anniversary celebration will be held at Russo and Steele’s traditional auction site located at the intersection of the loop 101 freeway and North Scottsdale Road. In honor of this momentous occasion, Russo and Steele is inviting everyone out whether you are a bidder, consignor or fellow enthusiasts for what is going to be the biggest celebration in Scottsdale this January 20-24, 2010. Check the Russo and Steele website for updates and additional information.
