Russo and Steele will Sell No. 37 of the Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustangs in Monterey, CA

BENEFITING BROTHER RICE HIGH SCHOOL

Monterey, CA (Jun 29, 2010) -- One of the most sought after limited edition Ford Mustang’s will be sold at the 10th Anniversary Russo and Steele Collector Car Auction in Monterey, California August 12-14, 2010; benefiting Brother Rice High School. This particular Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang is No. 37 of only 45 of the limited production that was built. At the 1964 New York World’s Fair, Iacocca the president and general manager of the Ford Division, presented the Ford Mustang to the world. Forty-five years after the original Ford Mustang was introduced, auto industry visionary Lee Iacocca also known as the “Father of the Mustang,” unveiled the newest member to the mustang family; the Iacocca 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang.

Nearly two years in the making, the Iacocca Silver Edition Mustang is a collaborative effort by Lee Iacocca, designed Michael Leone, and the Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters. The 2009 Mustang is uniquely modified and coach built, perpetuating the Iacocca mystique with its Iacocca Design 20” Chrome wheels with “I” Design Badge, sunken headlights, slanted grille and low stance for “street attitude.” The mechanical underpinnings are true American muscle with a Ford 4.6-liter V8 300 hp, 5-speed stick shift transmission, Ford Racing Handling Package and upgraded suspension. The interior is resplendent with Iacocca Diamond Design embroidered leather seats, signature dash plaque with serial number, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with “I” badge, and Iacocca-badged aluminum door sill plates. The “Father of the Mustang” out does himself once again with this sleek, extraordinary, true American muscle car.
