Russo and Steele partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale’s Angel Program for its Preview Charity Gala January 18th, 2012
Scottsdale, AZ (October 21, 2011) – Aston Martin, Bentley and Austin Healey are not the only ones with a set of wings in the classic car industry this year. In fact, Russo and Steele is earning its own set of Angel wings. The company known for its “For Enthusiasts, By Enthusiasts” tagline is also proud to be recognized as a supporter of the “Angels for Kids, Mentors for Life” program. A Russo and Steele auction event warrants the phrase, “the reserve is off”, as vivaciously as only Drew Alcazar could deliver it, but that same passion on the block exists off the auction block as Russo and Steele puts the halo on in support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.
Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions has a long tradition of participating with local, non-profit organizations as a way of embracing their community. This year Russo and Steele is offering their clientele and the Arizona community an opportunity to Be giving, Be heard, and Be connected. Those are the three key messages of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale’s Angels for Kids program, which is the beneficiary of the classic car auction’s Preview Charity Event held this January 18th, 2012. The program asks its community to help the organization provide children with a positive environment, quality programs, healthy lifestyles and lifelong learning skills.
“Twelve years ago my wife and I started Russo and Steele, but in addition to bringing hundreds of rare collectable classic cars to the Valley we knew it was just as crucial as Phoenicians to give back to the community. Since the inception of our auction we have held a Preview Charity Gala that provides the opportunity to raise money for local non-profits, but that also provides a platform for these charitable organizations to create more awareness for their cause within their community” said Drew Alcazar, owner, along with his wife Josephine, of Russo and Steele Collector Automobiles. “This year we are pleased to be a part of Angels for Kids program. The money raised during this evening will go directly to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale’s program and definitely make a huge impact on the community,” said Alcazar.

Since its inception, this Charity Gala event has been an evening filled with amazing LIVE music, mouthwatering fare, and has been SOLD OUT each year. This year’s MC for the event will be Mark Grace, the voice of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Joining the former Arizona Diamondback’s player is the President of CBS Outdoor for the American’s, Wally Kelly and his wife Amy. Russo and Steele’s Scottsdale 2012 Event: Wednesday through Sunday, January 18-22, 2012 under the big top tent at Mayo Blvd and Scottsdale Road, just south of the 101. Gates open at 10 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The auction starts at noon Thursday through Sunday with memorabilia and follows with automobiles at 1 p.m. Only registered bidders, consignors and their guests are permitted in the auction tent, the general public is welcome to view the cars in general admission area.
