The Collector Car Hobby: The Past, the Present, and the Future Seminar
Russo and Steele is proud to bring another Breakfast Seminar to the automobile enthusiast community as part of the 12th Annual Scottsdale Auction. The Collector Car Hobby: The Past, the Present, and the Future will be held on Friday, January 20th, 2012 from 9:00am – 11:00am at the auction site. The seminar will feature a panel discussion focused on the classic car industry as a hobby as well as the facets that are significant to the enthusiasts that create the community. In the past, Russo and Steele has included some of the most recognizable figures in the classic car industry as part of this annual seminar. This year is no different, as the panelists chosen are the names of individuals that epitomize the automobile enthusiast community. Joining Russo and Steele and providing their insights as featured panelists will be: Wayne Carini, Cory Coker, Randy Fox, Mckeel Hagerty, Robert Ross, Steve Saleen, and Tim Suddard.
Wayne Carini, who will serve as the seminar’s emcee, has a lifetime of experience in automobile restoration under his belt. A master car restorer, Carini has a resume that includes body and paint work on rare car collections owned by the likes of David Letterman, tennis great Ivan Lendl and the DuPont family. Starring in Chasing Classic Cars, Wayne takes his viewers into the elite club of car restorers and collectors. Cory Coker is a fellow car enthusiast that happens to be the owner and President of Coker Tire, the world’s largest supplier of antique and classic car tires. Randy Fox is a founding principal of InKnowVision, LLC, which is a national consulting and marketing firm that develops management and preservation strategies for clients of exceptional wealth. He is a director and faculty member of the InKnowVision Institute, which provides professional advisors with the advanced technical and interpersonal tools they need to attract and work successfully with high net worth clients. Mckeel Hagerty is the CEO of Hagerty Insurance, the world’s largest provider of collector car insurance as well as the executive publisher of Hagerty Magazine. Recently, Mckeel founded the Historic Vehicle Association with the mission of “Keeping Yesterday’s Cars on Tomorrow’s Roads”. Robert Ross is the automotive editorial consultant for Robb Report magazine, directing the team of journalists who produce the annual Robb Report “Car of the Year” event. Ross also regularly evaluates new series production vehicles in the sports and luxury segments. Ross places a substantial editorial focus on historic automobiles, in response to readers’ keen interest in collector cars and the market that drives them. Steve Saleen is an American businessman and former racing driver. He is known for being the founder and former Vice Chairman of Saleen, Inc. Originally named Saleen Autosport, Saleen Inc. was an OEM manufacturer of specialty vehicles including the Saleen S7 and highly modified Ford Mustangs. Tim Suddard is the Publisher of Grassroots Motorsports and Classic Motorsports, which has become America’s largest publication catering to classic sports car enthusiasts.
Hundreds of automobile enthusiasts are expected to attend this seminar in order to hear the exciting dialogue surrounding the hobby in which they are so passionate about.
