Fifth Annual “Monterey Sports and Muscle at the Marriott” 100% No Reserve – All Cars will be sold!
Russo and Steele’s August 20th Auction One of the Premier Events of Monterey Car WeekendMonterey, CA. (Apr 22, 2005) --Monterey, CA Russo and Steele will present the 5th annual “Monterey Sports and Muscle at the Marriott” on Saturday night, August 20th in Monterey. This ultra-premium collector car auction is concurrent with the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca. The event will showcase the finest in European Sports, American Muscle, Customs and Hot Rods all at NO RESERVE.
Last year’s Russo and Steele Monterey auction featured 84 cars and grossed over 6 million dollars. Several world records were set, including $473,000.00 for an ex-Parnelli Jones Boss 302 Mustang racecar, $48,400.00 for an Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale SSZ, and $1.2 million for a Ferrari Enzo. Russo and Steele expects a similar line-up of superstar automobiles for this year’s event.
Russo and Steele heads to Monterey with momentum. They gained international notoriety at their recent January auction, where an ex-Dan Gurney Shelby factory Cobra sold for a staggering $2,100,000.00. Several other world records were also set at the Scottsdale event.
“We have always been passionate about offering the finest in European Sports and American Muscle cars in an intimate setting” states auction founder Drew Alcazar “We are delighted to be back at the Monterey Marriott”. Alcazar’s boutique, collector car auction has built a reputation on quality, integrity, professional discretion and camaraderie amongst enthusiasts.
Consignments are currently being accepted, and Russo and Steele recommends consigning early due to the limited space in their Monterey sale.
An auction preview will be held on Friday, August 19th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. It will be open to the public and admission is free. The Monterey Marriott is located at 350 Calle Principal in Downtown Monterey.
