According to Galen Govier, the recognized expert on all things MOPAR, this 1970 Plymouth Superbird (VIN # RM23UOA174602) is 1 of just 1,971 ever produced. Original features include Plymouth's 440 cubic inch Super Commando engine, 4-speed Pistol Grip Manual Transmission, power disc brakes, power steering, shoulder harnesses, and bucket seats. Upon completion, s/n RM23UOA174602 was shipped to Five Points Chrysler Plymouth in El Monte, California. It has remained in California ever since.

In 2006, s/n RM23UOA174602 underwent a complete restoration by noted restorer Scott Ralston. The car was completely disassembled; every nut and bolt was cleaned and/or replated. Every body panel was media blasted and repainted in the original color of Limelight (Sublime) Green. The original 440 Super Commando engine, 4-Speed Pistol Grip transmission and Sure-grip differential were completely rebuilt. The fuel system, wiring harnesses, brake lines, exhaust system and factory black interior was restored. The black vinyl top, interior gauges and carpets were also renewed. As a finishing touch, five NOS Polyglas tires from 1970 were acquired from a New York basement and installed on s/n RM23UOA174602 for show. S/n RM23UOA174602 is as clean underneath as she is on top.

Shortly after the restoration was completed, s/n RM23UOA174602 took part in the 3rd Annual Muscle Car 1000, where it was not only selected to be the event's poster car, but also competed in the first ever drag race held on the flight deck of the USS Midway. In late 2007, s/n RM23UOA174602 returned to the restoration shop for Concours detailing. Today, s/n RM23UOA174602 is a glowing testament to the golden age of Muscle Cars.

S/n RM23UOA174602 offers the discriminating investor an opportunity to own a fully restored, fully documented, original, numbers matching Superbird. She is clean, correct and proven!
